Skills

Basic attack

Masked Man's Basic Attack has four hits. The 1st swings a chain upward to push the target back; the 2nd swings the chain downward, pulling the target in front toward himself; the 3rd uses Kamui to absorb the target; the 4th releases the opponent and kicks.

Tip The 2nd hit of the Basic Attack hits grounded targets. After the opponent is absorbed by Kamui, they cannot use Substitution until they are released.

Outfit forms

These outfits give the ninja a battle form of its own. Stats stay the same; the skills below are the ones that change.

  • Hundred Battles百战

    • Chain of CausalitySkill 1

Skill 1 has two parts. Tap to cast the first part: the Hundred Battles Masked Man briefly turns intangible and dashes forward, grabbing enemies in his path with chains. If an enemy is hit, they are dragged behind him, then absorbed with Space-Time Ninjutsu and thrown out.
If the first part of Skill 1 misses, tap to cast the second part: the Hundred Battles Masked Man briefly turns intangible and casts Fire Style to coat his chains, spinning continuously to sweep enemies before launching them with a forceful upward strike. You can pull the joystick to control Y-axis movement while spinning.
After the first part of Skill 1 or a Basic attack successfully grabs an enemy into the Space-Time dimension, the Skill 1 icon changes. During the yellow bar window, tap Skill 1 to cast a follow-up: the Hundred Battles Masked Man throws his chains forward to pull the enemy out of the Space-Time dimension, unleashes a Fire Style attack, and finally turns around and drags the enemy to slam them into the ground, finishing with a violent explosion.

Tip Hold to cast either part of the skill to consume 1 energy bar and turn it into a feint. If you successfully dodge an enemy attack during this, you trigger Perfect Phasing, slowing down the movements of you and the enemy. At this point you can press Basic attack to cancel the phasing and slow-motion effect, and follow up with a Basic attack that dashes forward to grab the enemy, absorbs them into the Space-Time dimension, and throws them out.
During the recovery of the first-part feint of Skill 1, you need to release and press the button again to immediately cast the second-part feint. When Skill 1 triggers Perfect Phasing and follows up with a Basic attack, you can pull the joystick backward to control the reverse direction.

    • Heaven and Earth Explosive BurialSkill 2

Tap to cast Skill 2: the Hundred Battles Masked Man uses Space-Time Ninjutsu to vanish, then appears in the air ahead, turns around and throws multiple explosive tag kunai toward the ground, causing explosions. If you pull the joystick forward after the Hundred Battles Masked Man appears, he throws the explosive tag kunai forward.
Hold Skill 2 to consume 2 energy bars and cast the enhanced Skill 2: the Hundred Battles Masked Man uses Space-Time Ninjutsu to appear in the air ahead, then dashes diagonally backward while intangible, remaining intangible and invincible until he lands, leaving a row of explosive tags along the way that detonate. If you pull the joystick forward after the Hundred Battles Masked Man appears in the air, he lands forward while intangible and leaves a row of explosive tags that detonate.

Tip Swiping Skill 1 during the wind-up of Skill 2 performs a combo skill: Frenzied Dance. After the Hundred Battles Masked Man enters the Space-Time dimension and vanishes, he appears in the air ahead, swiftly swings his chains and scatters a large number of explosive tags, causing a wide-area explosion.
If you swipe Skill 1 after Skill 2 and keep holding Skill 1, the Hundred Battles Masked Man consumes 2 energy bars, attacks enemies continuously with chains and explosive tags, then turns intangible and throws chains downward, entering the Space-Time dimension and vanishing. Multiple giant chains then keep grabbing and striking enemies, leaving them nowhere to escape!

    • Fate's ImpermanenceUltimate

Cast the Ultimate: the Hundred Battles Masked Man leaps into the air ahead and grabs the enemy with chains. If it hits, he uses Space-Time Ninjutsu to teleport them in front of the Nine-Tails, which he controls to gather and fire a Tailed Beast Bomb that blasts the enemy away, destroying buildings and mountains along the way, and finally explodes in the distance to finish the enemy off.
If the grab misses, the Hundred Battles Masked Man enters the Space-Time dimension himself and controls the Nine-Tails on a distant mountaintop to fire a Tailed Beast Bomb into the arena, creating a wide-area explosion.

Tip The Hundred Battles Masked Man has a 3-bar energy gauge beneath his health bar. Each hold of Skill 1 consumes 1 energy bar and each hold of Skill 2 consumes 2 energy bars, and the Hundred Battles Masked Man uses phasing to cast enhanced skills. Energy slowly recovers over time.
