Basic attack

Reanimated Gekko Hayate's Basic Attack has 5 hits: 1A is a downward slash, 2A a forward thrust, 3A a left-right double slash, 4A a slash combo with a quick forward glide, and 5A uses Body Flicker above the enemy's head and delivers a heavy downward slash.

Tip When releasing Basic Attack 4A, you can pull the joystick up or down to move and launch a Y-axis dash attack.

Secret Sword: Flowing ShadowSkill 1

Gekko Hayate summons a clone beside him that rapidly slashes the surrounding targets, while he himself uses Transparency Release to turn invisible for a time.

Tip Clone cancel: during basic attacks 4A and 5A and during the recovery of Konoha Style: Swift Sword, tap the skill to release the enhanced state, in which the original body and the clone unleash a stronger slash together. Releasing it during the recovery of the first stage of Konoha Style: Swift Sword additionally summons a clone that dashes through the opponent.
Clone dash: before the first stage of Konoha Style: Swift Sword has been released, you can swipe from this skill toward the other skill to summon a clone that dashes through the opponent; if it hits, the combo technique is unlocked. Summoning the clone to attack this way additionally increases this skill's cooldown.

Secret Sword: Flowing ShadowSkill 1 · Enhanced

Using this skill during the recovery of basic attack 4A or 5A, or of any stage of Skill 2, Konoha Style: Swift Sword, casts the enhanced state, and the main body and the clone launch a stronger slash together.

Tip Linked after basic attack 4A, 5A or the first stage of Skill 2, it deals higher damage and cancels the attack's recovery.

Gekko Hayate unleashes a Konoha-style sword slash. You can choose to dash, retreat, or perform a chain slash. Afterward, tap the skill again to release a second-stage circular dance slash.

Tip In the first stage, tap to thrust; swipe toward Basic Attack to retreat and throw an explosive kunai; hold to release a rapid chain slash.
During the recovery of the first stage, tap Basic Attack to cancel directly into basic attack 4A to form a combo.
During a combo, tapping the other skill immediately cancels the skill's recovery and releases the enhanced state of Secret Sword: Flowing Shadow, while also summoning a clone that dashes through the opponent; if it hits, the skill's second stage becomes a combo technique performed together with the clone. When the combo technique ends, you can press left or right to choose the direction the original body appears.

Konoha Style: Swift SwordSkill 2 · Hold

The skill has two stages. Holding casts the first stage, in which Gekko Hayate launches Konoha-style sword slashes in a rapid chain. During the first stage's recovery, the basic attack can link directly into basic attack 4A. Casting the skill again produces the second stage's circular dance slash, and the second stage can move up and down by pulling the joystick.

Tip Quickly launches multi-hit slashes forward. The many hits make it well suited for combo damage.

Konoha Style: Swift SwordSkill 2 · Swipe Attack

The skill has two stages. When the first stage is cast with a swipe basic attack, Gekko Hayate retreats and throws an explosive kunai. During the first stage's recovery, the basic attack can link directly into basic attack 4A. Casting the skill again produces the second stage's circular dance slash, and the second stage can move up and down by pulling the joystick.

Tip Quickly opens distance from the opponent, then use the second stage to close in again for a combo.

Crescent Moon DanceUltimate

The Konoha-style swordsmanship's finishing technique, Crescent Moon Dance. Gekko Hayate and his clone unleash a storm of swift slashes, then Body Flicker into midair to deliver the finishing blow to the opponent.

ComboSpecial mechanic

Linking Skill 1 after the first stage of Skill 2 immediately cancels the skill's recovery and casts the enhanced state of Secret Sword: Flowing Shadow, while summoning a clone that dashes through the opponent. If it hits, Skill 2's second stage becomes a team attack with the clone. When the attack ends, you can press left or right to choose the direction the main body appears from.

Tip Casting the team attack during the recovery of Skill 1's first stage quickly deals heavy damage within a combo, and the selectable appearance position lets you pull and push against the opponent.

ComboSpecial mechanic

Before Skill 2's first stage has been cast, swiping from Skill 1 to Skill 2 summons a clone that dashes through the opponent, and if it hits, it unlocks the team attack. Summoning a clone attack this way adds an extra 3s of cooldown to Skill 1.

Tip Quickly unleashes the team attack for wide-area suppression, but it increases Skill 1's cooldown accordingly, so use it carefully in real matches.
